
The Centre for British Studies is an interdisciplinary teaching and research institute within the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The advertised position is part-time (1/2), fixed-term (for up to 5 years), and vacant as of 1 September 2022.
Responsibilities:
Teaching Modern British History (in English); tutoring and supervising postgraduate students; research in modern British history; organisation of events and student placements; some administrative tasks
Requirements:
Completed university degree and, if applicable, doctorate in the field of history, preferably with British political or colonial history; willingness to research aspects of British history in an international context (e.g., comparison of international and transnational relations); very good command of written and spoken English
Salary:
Governed by the standard public sector salary scheme for graduates as applicable to the Humboldt-Universität, TV-L HU E 13 pro rata (one half).
