Our Information and Library Services Directorate delivers award winning IT services and support, library, academic and digital skills and learning enhancement to staff and students across the university. Our digital mission is to ensure everyone in our community is equipped to effectively use digital services, data and technology with confidence, efficiency and creativity in their learning, teaching, research and organisational support.

We are seeking an IT Team Leader to manage the day-to-day operation of our IT Service Desk and Telephony teams. Together, these teams are our staff, students, partners and visitors’ first point of contact for all issues, service requests or queries relating to our services and systems.

You will have experience managing a complex team, including staffing levels and rota management. Experience managing and reporting on your team’s performance and delivery against agreed Service Level Targets and KPIs is also required. You will work closely with the IT Team Leader (Support) to manage frontline IT Support services across all our campuses.

This role requires organisational and business relationship management skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills. You should possess IT diagnostic skills and be educated to degree level or have demonstrable experience within a relevant technical or business discipline.  

You will be based at the outstanding World Heritage Site of the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich with a requirement to regularly work at our Avery Hill campus on a rotation basis.
