
Term-time only, flexible role. Please note this position does not include teaching and research. We are seeking to recruit an Academic Support Fellow in the Faculty of Science and Engineering who will support our growing cohort of Degree Apprentices. The postholder will support our apprentices in developing the skills and behaviours needed to thrive in their apprenticeships – this will include leading tri-partite meetings with apprentices and their employers.
About You
This role may suit someone with a Technical professional background who has experience of coaching /mentoring individuals. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of Degree Apprenticeship and demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting students effectively to enable them to succeed and thrive.
About the Faculty of Science and Engineering
The Faculty of Science and Engineering comprises of five Schools that deliver the research and education activity of the Faculty. The Faculty has a wide range of key interactions with partner organisations, including with overseas partners, other Government departments, research and education networks, funders and regulators. The role sits within the Professional Services job family and the role holder is expected to be an active part of the University’s support staff family, working with academic colleagues across a wide range of responsibilities to help deliver its academic mission.

This postholder will work across both remotely and on London campuses. This role is offered as a term-time only appointment – 39 weeks per year. During term-time, the commitment required is flexible –minimum 2 days per week (15 hours), up to 5 days per week (35 hours). The salary is £37,348 – £43,592 per annum pro rata.
