< img src=" https://jobeternal.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/human-ecosystems-scientific-programme-manager.jpg" class= "ff-og-image-inserted" > About the team/job The pan-EMBL Human Ecosystems Transversal Theme( TT) looks for a full time programme supervisor to support the execution of this style over the next three years. This is a chance to work collaboratively throughout EMBL’s six websites, working closely with the Theme’s co-chairs Cornelius Gross( EMBL Rome), Helen Parkinson (EMBL-EBI, Hinxton) and Oliver Stegle( EMBL Heidelberg) and to engage with the global Human Ecosystems neighborhood. The style builds on EMBL’s research strengths in molecular biology and data sciences and will make the most of quickly broadening human datasets to check out the gene– environment interplay and its impacts on human phenotypes. We will bring these insights to the lab to be experimentally checked using modern molecular hereditary techniques in cells, organoids, organs-on-a-chip, and animal models. Research study in this style will utilize the unprecedented depth and breadth of emerging human associate information and develop unique computational and analytical approaches to mechanistically incorporate environmental, molecular, and genomic data to dissect the molecular mechanisms of environmental threat factors. The role will be located at EMBL-EBI to benefit from the substantial local competence in managing regulated gain access to data for big tasks. The post holder will lie within the Parkinson Team at EMBL-EBI and will be accountable to the Human Ecosystem Cochairs.

The post holder will gain from interactions with programme supervisors from other EMBL Transversal Themes. Your function The program supervisor will deal with the three co-chairs to implement pan-EMBL workshops, establish funding calls, display progress towards the theme’s goals, manage associated research study budgets and to support the style’s grant writing and strategic activities As this theme requires access to human controlled gain access to

data you will support scientists affiliated with the TT in recognizing, requesting access to and managing regulated gain access to datasets necessary for their research. You have A relevant degree in a biomedical science, ideally in human genetics/genomics/bioinformatics Experience managing information extensive jobs in an academic or industrial environment A high degree of numeracy and precision, preferably with previous monetary experiences as you will keep track of the budget plans for the Transversal Theme A determination to undertake worldwide travel, for example to retreats and conferences pertinent to,
