This is a chance to work collaboratively throughout EMBL’s six websites, working closely with the Theme’s co-chairs Cornelius Gross( EMBL Rome), Helen Parkinson (EMBL-EBI, Hinxton) and Oliver Stegle( EMBL Heidelberg) and to engage with the global Human Ecosystems neighborhood. The style builds on EMBL’s research strengths in molecular biology and data sciences and will make the most of quickly broadening human datasets to check out the gene– environment interplay and its impacts on human phenotypes. We will bring these insights to the lab to be experimentally checked using modern molecular hereditary techniques in cells, organoids, organs-on-a-chip, and animal models. Research study in this style will utilize the unprecedented depth and breadth of emerging human associate information and develop unique computational and analytical approaches to mechanistically incorporate environmental, molecular, and genomic data to dissect the molecular mechanisms of environmental threat factors. The role will be located at EMBL-EBI to benefit from the substantial local competence in managing regulated gain access to data for big tasks.
