An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our HR Operations & Recruitment team.   

The post holder will provide excellent HR administrative and advisory support for the delivery of a high-quality professional HR service to managers and staff across LSHTM, including administering LSHTM’s central HR operational processes. 

The HR Operations & Recruitment Officer’s responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Effective management and delivery of high volume recruitment and selection activity across your designated Faculty and a wide range of Professional Services departments.
  • Dealing with employment related correspondence such as contract administration and UKVI administration and processes.
  • Offering expert advice and guidance in relation to recruitment best practice, UKVI and right to work, family friendly policies, probation and fixed term contracts.

The post-holder will hold an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and a CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent significant HR professional experience.  They will also have strong experience of managing high volume recruitment campaigns and a detailed working knowledge of UK immigration regulations. The role is permanent and full-time. 

This role will be primarily office based at Tavistock Place, London (minimum 3 days per week working from the office). 

The salary will be on the Professional Services scale at Grade 5 and starting salary for this is £38,282 per annum inclusive of London Weighting. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this, there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is also available.
