Are you looking for a part-time role with flexible hours, working with a small and friendly team, and where you will have the autonomy to manage much of your work?
In this role you will lead on the planning and advertising process for all staff vacancies at the College. The work requires close attention to detail, responsive customer care, and a full awareness and commitment to issues of equality, diversity and inclusion, to ensure the attraction to those vacancies of the widest field of suitable applicants. In addition, you will provide support to the operations of the wider HR Business Partnering team in supporting the monthly and annual report running cycles that ensures specific information is received and understood by colleagues in the team and managers who are the service users.
The desired and essential skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications are outlined in the job description, but full training will be given on all key aspects of the role.
This role is offered on an open-ended basis, part-time role working 21 hours per week.
Work pattern is flexible but with a fixed requirement to work on site in Bloomsbury, for either a half, or a full day on Mondays. The rest of the working pattern can be agreed but would need to be within the core hours of the rest of the team (Monday to Friday 10:00 to 16:00), and ideally be on days of the week to minimise the length of any gaps in service availability. The remaining hours during the week can be worked from home, or from the office as best suits the role holder.
As this is a part-time post, the salary is pro rata (0.6 FTE of £29,392 rising to £32,962 per annum FTE).
Birkbeck offers a competitive salary and pension scheme, 31 days paid leave, flexible working arrangements and some of the most generous benefits in the HE sector, all while being located right in the heart of Central London.
The salary quoted is on the College’s London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
