
The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Head of Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The role holder will play an integral role in supporting and enabling the Vice-Chancellor and other members of the University Executive Board to deliver on the University’s academic mission. Reporting to the University Secretary, you will work in collaboration with other senior members of University staff, including senior Executives, Academic Deans, Professional Service Directors and Heads of College. You will attend meetings of the University Executive Board and be a member of the Professional Services and Colleges Leadership Team.

Your day-to-day role will be to ensure the smooth running of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office. You will lead a team of Executive Assistants and be responsible for overseeing the timely preparation of reports and briefings, ensuring that the Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Provost are effectively prepared and briefed for internal and external engagements, disseminating strategy and policy advice and maintaining the smooth and efficient running of weekly University Executive Board meetings.

About You
You will be a dynamic individual who is adept at working at the centre of a large, complex organisation. You will enjoy working at pace and will be comfortable linking high level strategy with the intricacies of operational delivery. You will be a collaborative influencer and an outstanding communicator and leader. You will be able to synthesise large amounts of information and provide concise briefings and strategic advice to the Vice-Chancellor and other stakeholders. You will relish working closely with a diverse range of people, including senior managers, students, high-profile individuals and groups outside of the University. You will be adept at leading and motivating your team, giving them support and space to excel in their roles.
