About the team…
The HR Organisational Development and Equalities Team is responsible for the delivery of organisation development, leaning and wellbeing initiatives as well as leading the staff equality and diversity agenda at Goldsmiths. Our aim is to provide opportunities for all staff to develop and thrive in their careers at Goldsmiths, placing student and staff wellbeing and development at the heart of all that we do. Having gone through our own transformation you’ll join an HR team that is fresh, flexible, fun, genuinely collaborative and focussed on continuous improvement.

About the role…
We are looking for a Head of Organisational Development and Equalities to oversee the OD & Equalities centre of excellence, comprising high quality consultancy, projects, and events relating to OD, learning and development, wellbeing and engagement, working as part of the HR Senior Management Team to enhance knowledge exchange and create opportunities for collaboration across the wider HR Department and College.

The Head of Organisational Development and Equalities will lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of the Goldsmiths Equality and Diversity Strategy and institutional objectives in a collaborative and inclusive way to work towards our aim of embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion in everything we do.

About you…
The successful candidate will need to juggle strategic and operational activities – and be ready to engage our academic and professional staff community in new approaches with tact, diplomacy, and political know-how. We promise no two days will be the same!

You should have experience of leading a team as well as leading organisational, leadership and people development projects within a complex environment and you know how to communicate expertly, both verbally and in writing. You are a skilled and engaging facilitator in person and virtually, able to influence, motivate and inspire colleagues at all levels.

You will have made a key contribution to the delivery of transformational change, thriving in a dynamic, agile environment where you work flexibly to lead projects that meet changing priorities and needs; and take a strengths-based, solutions-focused approach to development, using diverse sources of data and insight to lead the creation of innovative solutions to meet current, emerging and future needs.
