The Health Foundation is an independent charity committed to bringing about better health and health care for people in the UK.
The Foundation has an endowment valued at more than £1bn and annual spend in excess of £40m. We are seeking a Head of Grants and Contracts to take responsibility for our policy framework that supports our work with our partners. This role will manage the team responsible for ensuring our policies and processes are efficient, robust and support value-for-money initiatives, optimising the public benefit from our funding activities. The role will lead on a continuous improvement programme to ensure our grant, contract and other funding processes support the delivery of our strategy.
The role will lead by example and be a trusted partner to the organisation, with the dual role of providing challenge but also advice, ongoing support and training.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing funding policies that are inclusive by design and that encourage innovation. The person will be an experienced leader and business partner, used to working in a fast paced environment, and will have a strong interest in building a healthier UK.
