King’s Culture is recruiting a Head of Communications & Marketing. As King’s College London’s specialist institute for creative knowledge exchange and engagement with the creative & cultural industries, King’s Culture brokers, develops and delivers a portfolio of distinctive partnerships that support the university’s education, research and service ambitions.

Now is an exciting time to join King’s Culture as we embark on the next phase of our work after ten years at the forefront of higher education engagement with the creative industries. With an enhanced focus on knowledge exchange partnerships and communicating King’s positive impact on the world through creative interventions, this role will be key to the success of our work that across King’s two flagship public-facing platforms; Science Gallery London on Guy’s Campus, and, King’s spaces on and around the newly pedestrianised Strand-Aldwych. As part of King’s strategic Vision 2029, King’s Culture will play a key role in the university’s refreshed approach to engagement with our local communities and cross-capital partners.

The Head of Communications & Marketing develops & delivers effective communications & marketing that connect and showcase these activities both within and beyond the university, driving participation and audiences.

This role requires a balance of skills across internal and external communications & engagement, marketing and digital expertise. The post holder will be adept at identifying, researching and developing campaigns and stories. They will work with colleagues in the King’s Culture team, central and faculty-based communications and marketing teams and external collaborators and partners to tell those stories through digital and social media, impactful events, compelling internal and external campaigns, launches and other activities to inspire and engage stakeholders.

As with all King’s Culture posts, this role is part of the Faculty of Arts & Humanities with primary accountability for supporting our work at SGL and Strand.
