Premises Maintenance Person Required for Industrial site with Conservation Interests
You’ll have experience of working securely, producing danger evaluations and being compliant with safety treatments with knowledge of industry authorization to work systems.
You’ll have the ability to demonstrate competence with equipment and devices necessary for this function, and will have the appropriate certificates required.
You will provide practical conservation work to secure and improve the conservation status of the landholdings based at Talacre, Flintshire. This will include environment, types, gain access to & & preservation management.
Work will be predominantly concentrate on premises upkeep of industrial site with formal gardens & & large grassed locations with some preservation activities on SSSI habitats (farmland and seaside locations).
Daily reporting to Land Manager on Site.
Key Responsibilities
- Following Health and Safety procedures.
- Keeping the lawns and gardens within industrial setting throughout the year.
- Weed control utilizing knapsack and quad bike spraying
- Grass cutting utilizing tractor & & flail, ride-on and pedestrian mowers.
- Hedge cutting and cutting.
- Minor tree works.
- Maintaining devices.
- Practical habitat conservation work on SSSI site.
More effective Qualifications
- PA1 and PA6 pesticide certifications
- Tractor experience
- Chainsaw Certificate
- Countryside Management/Conservation
Desirable Experience
- Ideally a background in grounds upkeep with at least 2 years in a similar function
- A knowledge and enthusiasm for preservation either paid or as a volunteer
