Moorfields Eye Charity are the main grant-making and fundraising charity for Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation and its academic partner University College of London (in particular the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology). The grant-making programmes support innovation in eye health and have an emphasis on structure capability and establishing the professions of researchers and clinicians.
About the function
You will join a friendly and supportive grants and research group and support the whole grant management life cycle, both pre and post award, of a very diverse and growing grant portfolio. The charity have a number of grant-making programs, which you will be central in assisting to provide.
You will be the primary point of contact for candidates and other stakeholders throughout the grant management process, ensuring they are supported and managed in an expert and prompt way. This would consist of interacting feedback to applicants on funding propositions following decision making. With the financing supervisor you will deliver drop-in suggestions sessions and help with advancement of material that promotes financing chances and showcases the impact of the charity’s financing.
We are trying to find an individual who has an interest in developing or expanding their career in grants management within a growing grant-making charity. You will have a qualification in a biomedical sciences/health topic.
You will likewise have research experience in a scholastic or scientific setting and an understanding of research funding procedures in a grant-making charity.
You will be an exceptional communicator, able to develop positive working relationships at all levels. An ability to network and communicate with scientific, scientific and research neighborhoods will be key to your success in this function.
