The Opportunity

The Graduate Futures Coordinator will coordinate and deliver LCC’s extra-curricular graduate support programmes, events and communication campaigns; designed to enhance the futures of our final year students and recent graduates. Aligned with the 2022-2032 UAL strategy, the role’s impact is seen in the development of an environment that supports the enhancement of our graduates’ employability and entrepreneurial skills, empowering them to start and further develop their own businesses and professional careers and effect change across wider society.

The Graduate Futures Coordinator will actively seek to build and strengthen links with the University and other external organisations to develop networks with opportunities for students. You will work collaboratively across the Graduate Futures and other key teams to maximise the potential of the resources and expertise available and further enhance our global reputation.

About You

You will be educated to degree level, with a relevant qualification ideally in a communications-based subject. You will demonstrate knowledge of digital event platforms and communication tools, with an interest in creative communications such as design, media and screen and/or the arts. An understanding of the issues facing students and recent graduates who wish to enter the creative industries, as well as a knowledge of graduate, alumni and industry engagement is essential.

In addition to this, the successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Significant project coordination skills of a diverse pool of stakeholders
  • Proven experience of building and nurturing networks, both in the UK and overseas
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Event management and/or coaching/mentoring experience is desirable
  • Worked in another higher education institution and/or the creative industries in some capacity
