The group is comprised of 2 sub-teams; the International Recruitment group and the Global Opportunities group. Goldsmiths has ambitious targets to grow worldwide and EU trainee numbers and the global recruitment group is responsible for realising these targets by increasing the volume of high quality applications to study and supporting the conversion of applicants through to enrolment. The recruitment team manages an international network of international and EU recruitment agents, schools, colleges, personal pathway suppliers as well as local representation in United States, China and India. The group also co-manages a programme of international scholarships and relationships with external sponsors. The Global Opportunities team manages the incoming Study Abroad programme and partner network, and also establishes and promotes opportunities for current students to acquire international experience through research study, work and training abroad opportunities. The team handles external financing streams consisting of Erasmus+ and Turing Scheme grant funding and financing via Santander Universities collaboration.
Summary of the role:
Working within Goldsmiths International Recruitment and Global Opportunities Team, this role will be accountable for: coordinating of Goldsmiths’ participation in the Erasmus+ scheme and its successor, the Turing Scheme and for the development of broader worldwide chances for students at the college. The team comprises (in addition to the Global Opportunities Officer function) a Global Opportunities Manager and the Global Opportunities Coordinator. The activity is additional supported by a number of Student Ambassadors who assist on an ad hoc basis.
