This is a part time, open ended appointment (0.6 FTE).

Are you a finance professional looking for the chance to work at the interface between higher education and the commercial sector?

This is an exciting opportunity for you to shape the ongoing development and improvement of systems and working processes in the new Innovation Support Unit, a key area for building the College’s commercial and innovation activities and income.

You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Special Projects, Research Centres and Institutes, and the various faculties.

In this new role you will establish financial modelling, prepare systems and processes, and monitor new and ongoing innovation and commercialisation projects.

You will work within complex projects to advise on the financial risks and viability and provide reports to the Director of Finance and Innovation Support Manager.

You will use your knowledge, experience and technical skills of handling corporation tax and VAT, financial forecasts and analytical skills to provide professional financial advice and guidance to staff within the Unit,  faculties and Special Projects on the operational running of budgets and processes.

This is a part-time pro-rata role working three days per week.

Remuneration:

Grade 6 of the College’s London Pay Scale which is £36, 374 rising to £41, 348 per annum

The salary quoted will be pro-rata for this part time post and is on the College’s London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
