Job Summary
The Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI) is among Imperial College London’s 7 global institutes. The Institute intends to establish cutting edge services to the obstacles dealt with by health care systems and to generate transformational enhancement in the quality and equity of patient care and population health and wellbeing.
The Finance and Operations Officer will support a portfolio of monetary and operational management associated activities throughout three of IGHI’s research centres; the Centre for Health Policy (CHP), the Helix Centre, and the NIHR Imperial Patient Safety Centre (PSTRC).
You will supervise a diverse portfolio of research, non-research and education grants and tasks, offering financial, resource and agreement management oversight, guaranteeing tasks are managed effectively and liaison with task stakeholders to track task goals.
Working carefully with the IGHI Operations group, you will suggest and establish systems and procedure enhancements to develop an effective and effective financial and job management function. You will deal with IGHI style leads to make sure financing and operations principles are embedded through interaction of best practice and assistance.
Responsibilities and responsibilities
Duties consist of award management of grants and tasks and handling complex budget plans (including those over ₤ 1m) throughout multiple programmes of activity. You will oversee spending plans for a series of projects and make suggestions about resource allowances based upon funder and College policy and treatment. You will support management of partner and sub-contractor contracts and keep track of personnel resource allocations highlighting spaces in financing and planning for longer term sustainability. You will guarantee robust monetary and operational systems are developed to ensure performance and effectiveness and be proactive to make tips about enhancing treatment.
Important requirements
You must have strong monetary management abilities and experience of handling multiple intricate projects managing financial, contractual, and functional process. Secret to the role are strong interaction skills with the ability to equate complex information to a non-technical audience (in particular financial resources).
The role needs to draw in a confident self-starter with ability to contribute new ideas to deliver a more effective and efficient service. The ability to develop effective working relationships with a diverse range of people whilst having the ability to prioritise a high volume of work and work in an independent manner are likewise paramount.

Wage is used at Expert Services Level 3b (Salary scales).
