The appointment will be on UCL Grade 5.

The Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology at UCL comprises two clinical trials units and is at the forefront of resolving internationally important questions, primarily in infectious diseases, cancer and neurodegenerative diseases. A key goal is to deliver swifter and more effective translation of scientific research into patient benefits and public health benefits. It does this by carrying out challenging and innovative studies, and developing and implementing methodological advances in study design, conduct and analysis.

An enthusiastic committed and professional individual is sought to provide Finance and HR administrative support across the Institute. The post-holder will support activities such as management of invoices, supporting financial end of month, recruitment, query resolution and tracking of activities. The person appointed must have excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills and demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic. This role offers the opportunity for development for those who wish to pursue a career in Finance and/or HR.  The role forms part of the Institute team that provides professional services support for the Institute.

The post-holder will work within this multi-disciplinary team and will be expected to provide administrative support across a wide range of activities as the need arises, developing their understanding of Finance and HR within the research environment in which the post will operate, as well as promoting a positive working environment and a collaborative approach to working

The role is available immediately. This post is open ended for 12 months in the first instance.

The successful applicant will ideally be educated to ‘A’ level’ or equivalent experience, in busy administrative roles. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven experience in providing an efficient and effective level of service to colleagues, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
