The Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join UAL finance, as we continue to strengthen our planning and performance analysis function, to support the successful implementation of UAL’s new 10-year strategy.

This Finance Analyst position is a new role in central finance, managing and analysing University-wide financial management information to develop reports and support strategic decision-making. Working as part of a small team, there will be opportunities to support work on future year financial planning, in-year management accounts, Board reporting, external reporting, and scenario planning.

We are a friendly and welcoming team, with varied skills and experiences from multiple different backgrounds. We actively support individual personal and professional development throughout the finance function and would work with the job holder to identify development opportunities within the role.

About You
You will be a finance professional, comfortable working with large amounts of data, and extracting key information. You will have excellent attention to detail and be capable of reconciling information from multiple sources. You will also be a good communicator, capable of engaging with colleagues across finance and elsewhere in the organisation. You will build strong relationships with finance business partners and college finance teams- working with them on our core budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes, and troubleshooting any issues in a positive and collaborative manner.

We value the diversity of experience our staff bring with them. Whilst experience of working in a Higher Education setting will be helpful, we positively welcome front line administrative experience from across a range of sectors.
