About the role
In response to the unprecedented changes in the UK Higher Education system, the Dean for Education is leading the Faculty’s ambitious strategy to enhance the student experience and optimise graduate outcomes. The Faculty Success and Engagement Officer supports the Faculty in implementing this strategy.
Due to the incumbent taking an internal secondment opportunity, we are seeking an enthusiastic and student-focussed individual to take on this critical role in the Faculty for 12 months. The postholder will work towards managing all aspects of student education services provided to our student body. They will play a leading role in the development and delivery of the Faculty’s student experience strategy and support its implementation within the Faculty of Science & Engineering.
The post-holder will work closely with colleagues in our five Schools to ensure our processes and delivery meet the needs of our students. The role will involve working collaboratively with Professional Services within Schools and Central Directorates to support our staff in improving our education and student support provision across the Faculty.
About You
Applicants for the position should have significant, demonstrable student administration experience in an academic environment, have a flexible and proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to contribute to strategic decision-making.

The Faculty of Science and Engineering has five academic Schools offering comprehensive and diverse taught programmes. The Faculty’s research profile has strengthened considerably within the last ten years and we are focusing on establishing Queen Mary as one of the leading institutions for Science and Engineering in the UK.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London (for a minimum of 60% of working time). It is full time 12 month fixed term appointment. The salary range for the post is £38,655 – £45,479 per annum pro rata, inclusive of London Allowance.
