The Division of Psychology and Language Sciences undertakes world-leading research and teaching in mind, behaviour and language. We are seeking to appoint an Executive Officer for 12 months to cover maternity leave of the current post holder. The role is to support the Director of Division and Head of Administration in all aspects of their duties undertaking a wide range of management, planning and organisational responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing the Division’s committees, provide support to key initiatives such as Athena Swan, Green Impact and GDPR while also supporting the Director of Division and Head of Administration. It is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning professional services team in one of UCL’s largest and most successful academic units.

This post is fixed term from July 2022 – July 2023.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently under minimal supervision, prioritise work under pressure of competing demands, and be able to exercise discretion and preserve confidentiality. Excellent organisational, time management and project management skills, including the ability to work effectively on numerous projects simultaneously are essential. The post-holder should have experience of taking a leadership role in projects, a track record in committee work and minute taking, and experience of implementing and maintaining efficient office systems and procedures.
