Background
The School of Arts & Social Sciences is an internationally excellent centre of research and learning on the human condition in all its dimensions. It is a large and vibrant School with around 4,200 students and over 300 staff. The School will be embarking on an exciting period of change for the new academic year, creating the School of Communication and Creativity, consisting of Journalism, Performing Arts, Media, Culture and Creative Industries together with a new School of Policy and Global Affairs comprising of Economics, International Politics and Sociology & Criminology.

Responsibilities
The Employability and Student Mobility Officers work in a team responsible for shaping the Schools’ approach to the university’s core priorities outlined in City’s Strategy and delivering programmes that are key to enhancing student employability and global acumen.
Each post holder will be one of two Employability and Student Mobility Officers. Together they will be responsible for supporting the delivery of modules and programmes central to the university’s Employability Development Plan. They will be one of the Schools’ key contacts for employers and placement providers, playing an integral role in managing these valued relationships, creating new and exciting opportunities for our students.
The post holders will also share responsibility for the administration for the Schools’ international student exchange programme. This includes supporting both outbound City students and inbound partner university students through their experience studying abroad.
There are two full-time posts available, one is permanent, one fixed-term for 7 months maternity cover, please indicate on your application if you have a preference for either post.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be educated to A-level or equivalent and will have a track record in a similar role within a Higher Education sector. Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment is essential.
