Deputy Head of LSE University of London Programmes
Salary from £49,196 to £56,883 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £63,295 pa inclusive of London allowance
The LSE’s mission charges the School with making a positive difference to the world through bringing research-based knowledge to public problems and educating students with the capacity to lead in solving those problems. Our participation in the University of London Programmes (UoLP) are a key channel in achieving this goal, with circa 10,000 students across the world currently studying LSE designed and examined undergraduate programmes. LSE’s UoL programmes are managed from the Extended Education Unit – a highly successful and commercially driven team that delivers LSE’s open enrolment short courses and distance learning degree programmes.
The Deputy Head of LSE University of London Programmes will play a key role in helping to deliver our ambitious programme and business development strategy. Working closely with the Head of Programme and team, this role will have responsibility for leading and contributing to strategic projects, developing a communications and events strategy, programme development, new business opportunities and annual planning for the team.
The successful candidate must demonstrate:
- A strong track record of experience in programme and business development in the International Higher Education sector (Transnational Education).
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the TNE sector and commercial drivers in the delivery of distance learning.
- Experience of creating and monitoring short-, medium- and long-term plans, including project and budget management experience
- Proven people management skills e.g. delegation, training, performance
