About the Role

Applications are sought for a technician to facilitate the smooth running of the state of the art Cryostorage Facility at Charterhouse Square. The post will support both the Barts Cancer Institute and the William Harvey Research Institute within the School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London

About You

Essential requirements for this post include 2 A levels in a relevant subject or substantial work experience in a relevant role, previous experience working in a biomedical research laboratory and experience using and managing databases. Experience in handling cryogenic liquids and tissue is desirable. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain accurate and detailed records are also essential.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 1 year, with an expected start date of 7th March 2022. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £28,208 – £34,733 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
