
About You We are seeking a Counselling Manager to lead our team of psychodynamic and integrative counsellors and cognitive behavioural therapists. The successful candidate will have a postgraduate certification in counselling or psychiatric therapy and have substantial experience of operating in and handling a hectic team in an educational setting.
About the Department
The Advice and Counselling Service is a multidisciplinary trainee support service offering counselling and psychological support, psychological health support, psychiatry centers, welfare and monetary advice and immigration recommendations. The service is one of the constituent departments of the Student Wellbeing wing of the Student and Academic Services directorate, together with the Disability and Dyslexia Service and Student Life.
The Advice and Counselling Service currently uses 35 staff relating to around 23 FTE, plus a small number of counselling trainees and associates. It has four personnel teams: counselling, well-being guidance, mental health and frontline services.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a part-time (30.5 hours per week), long-term appointment, with an anticipated start date of August 2022. The starting wage will be Grade 6, in the variety of ₤ 48,035 – ₤ 53,625 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
