About the Role
Reporting into the Senior Sales & Marketing Manager you will be part of the Queen Mary Venues team that sell all non-student events across all campus. As part of the QMV team you will be responsible for driving the marketing of Queen Mary venues. The post holder will be focusing on the commercial Queen Mary websites and online presence through social media and digital marketing, you will also be supporting the wider commercial team with their marketing activities including social media posts, web page updates, flyer creation and other marketing activities. You will be given the tools and autonomy to negotiate with the focus on the commercial plan and together with the Senior Sales & Marketing manager be responsible for designing and implementing sales and marketing strategies for QM Venues.

About You
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field or have relevant experience in digital marketing and events sales. Prior work experience as a Sales and Marketing Executive or a similar role is required. You should possess excellent convincing abilities as well as good communication skills and also have outstanding sales skills and the ability to work in a team environment as and when needed. The post holder will be a people person that enjoys forging new relationships and maintaining existing ones to contribute to the achievement of the annual income target. You will be a driven and proactive individual who is details orientated, polite, helpful, and professional even when working under pressure.

About the School/Department/Institute/Project
This role sits within the Queen Mary Venues team. The QM Venues team has been growing and has taken on ownership of all internal, external and hospitality activity across campus. Within the team we also look after Academic lets 365days a year as well as Summer School Business across the Campus.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £38,165-£40,223 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
