
About the Role
Business Process Analysts will work within a complex and rapidly changing environment to deliver IT projects across Queen Mary University and will make a major contribution to the successful delivery of the Queen Mary strategic plan.
They will act as the liaison between the student union, Schools, and Professional Services, aiming to understand and analyse the business processes related to the integration of a new enquiry management system, while collaborating with the project team, strategic partner, and colleagues to establish, enhance, and implement effective, efficient, and adaptable processes that align with Queen Mary’s strategy and future requirements.
About You
This is a challenging and important position for a highly organised, logical, self-starter, with excellent communications skills, and attention to detail, who has excellent planning, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
You will assist the organisation through the process of change by using a structured business analysis approach/framework. To do this, you must understand not only analysis methodologies, but also the business. This includes understanding Queen Mary’s business goals, corporate values, and corporate culture. The Business Process Analyst will bring local knowledge and experiences to the project team. This will help with stakeholders’ engagement and further develop existing relationships. Their joint involvement will help with influencing others, whilst improving negotiations with a wide range of stakeholders, this will lead to greater support with changes to existing processes, and less pushbacks.
About the Department
IT Services is a key enabler to the successful fulfilment of Queen Mary’s strategic goals of excellence in research, and teaching and learning. Our services support students and colleagues and range from email and internet access to state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities, business application software and high-performance computing in support of research.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time, fixed-term appointment for 12 months, with an immediate start date. The starting salary will be Grade 6, in the range of £52,549 – £58,595 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
