Our team: Virtual Learning – Pearson Online Learning Services Australia (POLS) partners with leading Australian Universities and assists them to acquire and retain students for online programs.
The POLS Australia Research & Insights team is responsible for delivering insights to help inform business decisions relating to new product launches and performance improvement of existing products. As part of the POLS Australia Research and Insights team, the Research Analyst will be responsible for leading and delivering a range of market research projects as guided by POLS Australia’s strategic imperatives. In particular, the role will be responsible for day-to-day project management including questionnaire development, liaising with sample providers, data analysis and reporting, and presentations and research proposals. The role will also be liaising with clients and other internal departments to ensure all tasks are delivered to our clients’ specifications.
What you will do:
Plan, lead, implement, manage, and report on market research and analytics projects
Support the Research & Insights team in developing data-based business cases for new higher education programs by analysing multiple datasets to uncover strategic insights
Work collaboratively with areas across the business to design, develop, deliver and maintain research which contribute to the understanding, measurement and optimisation of our operations
Lead the preparation of concise, insightful and specialised reports, for partnership stakeholders (both internal and external)
Conceptualise, recommend and implement new approaches to resolve business questions relating to the student experience, engagement, success and outcomes
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
Essential: Undergraduate qualification or degree in statistics, market research, marketing, psychology, business or similar with relevant experience in an analytical, market research, or institutional research role
Essential: Proven ability to manage multiple research projects and deliver insights in line with stakeholder expectations
Essential: Proven experience in contributing to the formulation and leading the execution of primary business research
Desirable: Proven ability to engage stakeholders in the utilisation of the resulting insights
Desirable: Strong analytical skills with ability to integrate and interpret multiple data sources to create compelling client narratives
