(AUS-Sydney) Regional Sales Manager

About the role: We’re currently looking for a B2B sales professional with a stellar track record, and experience managing and motivating teams, to take ownership of and lead our sales team across New South Wales and Queensland . In this role, you will work collaboratively to achieve strong sales growth through strategic planning and execution, and ongoing business development. As a leader, you will also use your skills to drive strategic change, improve productivity, and foster a high-performance culture. This role can be based in either Sydney or Brisbane.

Our team: The Higher Education division in Australia focusses on supporting learners and educators in tertiary studies with qualitycourseware and innovative digital learning solutions.

Skills and Experience:

  • Recruit, coach, develop, and retaina high performing sales team that delivers against strategic OKRs and tactical KPIs

  • Lead the development of strategic business plans to maximise sales activities in alignment with business priorities

  • Directly manage key university accounts through field sales activities, including identifying new leads, working with leads to understand needs, and advising on Pearson solutions to meet customer needs

  • Develop strategic relationships with university educators, as well as other key university stakeholder

  • Champion best practice in knowledge management activities, driving efficiency through the use of CRM systems

  • Inspire, drive, and collaborate with the Sales and broader Higher Education teams within Pearson, fostering a high-performance culture, to deliverexceptional outcomes for our customers and for the business

What you will ideally have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in B2B sales or business development, with a demonstrabletrack record of driving business growth

  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and engage a high performing team that is geographically dispersed

  • Results-oriented professional with a high degree of personal accountability and integrity

  • Experience in leveraging CRM systems (ideally Salesforce) to drive sales efficiency and effectiveness

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

  • Knowledge of the higher education sector is desired, but not essential
