The role: A 12 month maternity leave contract opportunity for an experienced individual to lead a small matrixed team of HR professionals. The Manager HRBP will support leaders in the development and delivery of their people strategies and act as a trusted strategic partner to the Pearson Australia corporate Directors and division specific Australian Senior Leadership Team. This role will support the geography through transformation, shaping and delivering the full spectrum of HR support to ensure local compliance is maintained.
What you will do:

Build trusted, strategic partnerships with leadership and provide tactical support to across the organization focused on talent, employee engagement, workforce planning, employee relations, organisational design, change management and diversity equity and inclusion.

Maintain and develop organizational Employee Relations frameworks and supports to minimise legal risks and enhance the employee experience.

Maintain HR Financial and Legal compliance activities in geography.

Provide leadership, coaching and advice to a small team of direct and indirect reports.
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:

Tertiary qualifications in HR or equivalent e.g. AHRI membership.

Significant experience in a senior HR BP role
-
Experience leading small HR teams will be highly regarded
-
Experience with and detailed understanding of interpreting industrial awards and enterprise agreements, HR legislation and Employee Relations.

Experience in partnering within transformation environments culturally with exposure to best practice change management and alignment across matrix working structures.
