Variable Hours, Fixed-term contract

Duration of Contract: 10 weeks

Location: Canary Wharf, London

Would you like to work in a forward-thinking institution where values of student experience, customer service, academic quality, value for money and continuous improvement are at the forefront of how we make our decisions? Do you place the student at the heart of all that you do? If your answer is ‘yes’ to these questions, we have a great opportunity for you to experience it all for yourself and to join our Academic Team in a role of Associate Lecturer (Pre-sessional EAP).

This is an exciting time to join our Pre-Sessional English team as we have recently undergone a renovation of our existing provision. You will be helping to deliver pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes online to students from a variety of countries and specialisms.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have degree or equivalent professional qualification in a subject relevant to teaching EAP. In addition, you will have extensive teaching experience delivering EAP to international students both online and in person. You will be committed to delivering an excellent student experience to all learners and will have excellent teamwork, collaboration and organisational skills. An ability to provide a high-quality teaching and learning experience is a must, as is the ability to use online teaching tools. A DELTA or equivalent qualification is desirable.

With our community of staff and students growing steadily, this is an interesting and rewarding role which offers the chance to positively impact the experience and outcomes of our students.

This is a fixed term role for 10 weeks delivering pre-sessional EAP over this summer. The start date is the 10th of July 2023. As this is an online teaching role you need to be a resident of the UK and residing in country. There are no travel commitments to work for the University of Sunderland in London or the University of Sunderland.

To apply, register with our e-recruitment system and complete an application form.

Informal enquiries can be made to David Pepper, Senior Lecturer/Programme Manager (EAP) via [email protected]
