Based within the School of Natural Sciences, you will contribute to teaching in the field of Global Tectonics. You will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and will teach tectonics and large-scale structural geology within the framework of Birkbeck’s B.Sc. Degree in Geology and associated Certificate courses. This is for a single Level 5 module, taught in the autumn, with an early summer examination. The work would require 36 contact hours of teaching (11 lectures plus revision session, each 6-9 pm) and a revision session as well as examination setting and marking. Teaching material, which you could use with little change or modify it as you like, already exists and teaching will be via full blended teaching with live lectures and practicals, livestreaming, recorded lectures and additional online resources.
