Following the recent appointment of our new Director of People and Culture, we are seeking to appoint a senior team of ambitious, knowledgeable, change-makers to support the Director in the development and delivery of the University’s people and culture strategies.

Reporting to the Director of People and Culture, collectively this senior team will provide collaborative strategic leadership for all people services across the University. Individually they will lead their portfolio and contribute to the University strategy and develop and implement an approach that aligns people within the University to the overall corporate plan and delivery of its vision and mission.

This transformational senior leadership role will ensure that UEL develops and offers a market-leading employee experience. From day one to the final day, under their leadership, the Employee Experience team will create a culture where everyone is able to perform, develop and be recognised for their contribution, whilst also feeling like they are fully included and engaged in the mission. From learning to reward, engagement to leadership, and performance to progression, this team will provide the solutions, frameworks and programmes needed to become an award-winning employer of choice across the higher education sector.

We are looking for exceptional individuals to lead our HR functions. Candidates will bring wide-ranging HR leadership experience and a strong track record of delivering transformation and driving performance improvement in individuals, functions and organisations. High-level interpersonal and communication skills will be essential, as will experience in building and developing high-performing teams. Candidates will also drive the implementation of HR goals through detailed project plans and the management of relevant performance indicators.

Our successful candidates will also be committed to the success of the individuals and communities we serve and will demonstrate this commitment by engaging with staff, students and the wider community as a senior leader of the University.
