Applications are invited from prospects who have the essential qualifications in order to fill the following scholastic position at the Cyprus University of Technology:

DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING AND GEOMATICS

Professors OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY

• One ( 1) position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the expertise:

” Offshore Engineering” or “Coastal Engineering”

Applicants for all academic positions must have a doctorate degree from an acknowledged University. The university reserves the right to request recognition of the doctorate degree from the Cyprus Council for the Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications (K.Y.S.A.T.S). The minimum certifications that are needed for each academic position, consisting of publications and academic experience, are detailed on the University’s web page: https://www.cut.ac.cy/university/administration/administrative-services/hr/jobs/staff-categories/academic-staff-qualifications/?languageId=1 These qualifications are based on the candidate’s years of scholastic experience, his/her research study and scientific contribution.

The prospects will be assessed only for the rank or the ranks for which they have used.

Citizenship of the Republic of Cyprus is not needed.

According to the Cyprus University of Technology Law, the language of guideline at the University is either Greek or Turkish. For the present position, great understanding of the Greek language is needed; evidence is provided in the pertinent circular by the Public Service Commission, or B2 Level according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).

In case a chosen prospect does not have a great understanding of Greek language based on the requirements set above, it is his/her responsibility upon his/her election to accomplish it within three years time, with the dedication of the appropriate Academic Department.

The yearly gross salary for each position (consisting of the 13th wage) is:

From this quantity, employee contributions to Government Funds as well as Income Tax will be subtracted, according to the legislation into result.
