applicants with an exceptional and well-documented performance history in ingenious and globally recognised research study in Classical Archaeology, who are able to contribute to the continuing advancement of the Department’s core activities in research study, education and understanding exchange.This assistant professorship is not a period track position, which suggests that no period position is prepared to follow the assistant professorship. Research study The effective applicant will be anticipated to contribute to core activities
at the School of Culture and Society and Aarhus University in basic and to reinforce the research study activities of the Department of History and Classical Studies. They will be anticipated to take an interest in interdisciplinary cooperation within the” Classical Antiquity and its Heritage” research study program, the School of Culture and Society, the Faculty of Arts, and beyond.The successful candidate will also be encouraged to establish new research study projects with internal and external partners. Teaching The effective candidate will be responsible for preparation, establishing and teaching Bachelor’s and Master’s level courses, including “Introduction to Roman Archaeology”( Bachelor’s Degree Classical Archaeology)
and “Thematic Seminar”( MA Archaeology, Classical Archaeology Track). The effective applicant will have access to the teaching and assistance services provided by AU’s Centre for Educational Development.
