About the Role

Applications are invited for the role of anatomy lecturer. This individual will work within a dedicated and enthusiastic team to be responsible for the delivery and development of the anatomical education on the MBBS and related courses.

The individual will be involved in the delivery of laboratory-based practical classes and the production of supporting teaching materials as well as improvements to the delivery of anatomy practical classes and dissections.

The post is primarily a teaching post, there will be time dedicated to professional development and scholarly activity.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.

About You

Applicants will have a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field. They will have a passion for delivering high quality education, with suitable experience of teaching with cadaveric material at undergraduate level.

These posts sit within the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE), Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD). The FMD is a leading medical and dental faculty that offers international levels of excellence in research and teaching as well as providing clinical services for a population of unrivalled ethnic diversity in east London and the wider Thames Gateway.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment, with an expected start date of September 2022. The starting salary will be Grade 5, in the range of £43,069 – £ 45,479 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
