
The Analytical Services Laboratory, based in the School of Science at the University of Greenwich at Medway, seeks a skilled, dedicated laboratory technician to assist in the preparation of commercial samples for inorganic chemical and mineralogical testing. Applicants will be expected to perform a range of tasks within the laboratory including the reception and labelling of samples, the preparation of samples and their analysis by instrumental techniques such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS CHN, XRD and XRF (with training provided as required). The successful candidate will deliver consistent, high quality, accurate work and maintain good laboratory practices at all times. We welcome applications from individuals seeking a career path in analytical science or more experienced practitioners who have relevant skills and, ideally, prior experience in an accredited laboratory environment.
