Administrative Assistant
Salary from £27,416 to £30,607 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £32,768 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a fixed term appointment for 3 years
The Centre for Economic Performance, the leading social science and policy research centre in the UK – based at the LSE, seeks a well-organised administrative assistant. As part of a friendly team supporting academics and researchers, you will help provide reception and information services, organise seminars and events, support the Centre Manager with grant reporting, and provide ongoing project and academic support.
You must have excellent numeracy and IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office, and have previous experience of working in a busy office environment. You should be equally confident in dealing with enquiries in person and online and be able to communicate appropriately across the organisation and with senior colleagues. You will need to use your initiative in dealing with a wide range of tasks and be able to juggle multiple deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail, a good eye for presentation and an excellent standard of written and spoken English are all essential. An interest in our area of work would also be helpful.
